Cimorelli In London

Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to see Cimorelli perform when they visited London in the UK. Although I had money saved for travel, VIP and also accommodation my best friends 18th birthday party came up on the same night so I had to give the concert a miss.

Only a week before Cimorelli arrived in London Lynne Cimorelli (Mom) sent me some of the information for when the girls would be arriving at Gatwick airport in London. With the money I had saved me and Emma (twitter) both decided that we would travel down to London to meet the girls at the airport. This is what happened.

The day started at 10.30pm on Thursday the 19th March when I had to leave to go over to Liverpool to get the 00.05am coach to London. I live around 250 miles from London so the whole journey was set to take around 6.5 hours as there where many other pick-up points along the way. This meant that I arrived in London at 6.15am on Friday the 20th March. Emma who I met on Twitter was set to get into London at 6.20am as her coach left Birmingham at 3am.

When my coach arrived into Birmingham for a pick-up stop and a toilet break I got of the coach to find Emma waiting to get on! I was so happy to see her as it meant I had someone to talk to and keep me company for the rest of the ride. Throughout the long journey we got to know each other and slept a little but, but not much it's kind of hard on a coach.

We arrived in London at 6.20am very tired and had an 1 hour 10 minutes break until our coach left to take us to Gatwick airport. We went to Costa for something to eat. Then at 7.30am we finally left to go to Gatwick airport. We knew that Cimorelli where due to arrive in the south terminal at 10.45am, luckily me and Emma arrived at Gatwick at 9.30am so we had a long time to wait which we spent panicking about what was going to happen, what we were going to say and so much more. I had never been so nervous in my life.

Ellie (Twitter) arrived at the airport around 10.30am and I was so happy to see her again after meeting her at DigiFest last year. The three of us then spent hours worrying about everything and anything as we knew the girls would be late because of security and collecting there bags. We then found their car driver who had a boring hand written sign with 'Cimorelli' on it, so we made friends with him.

Finally after a few hours of waiting Dani walked through the security doors and I panicked. She gave us a hug and then the rest followed after. All the girls where so kind and asked SO many questions! They knew my name from Twitter and seem so upset that I wasn't coming to the concert the next day! Christina remembered talking to me on Twitter and was so happy to see me and gave me so many high fives.

If it wasn't for Amy I would not of remembered to get the girls to sign my poster because she asked what was in my hand and also if it wasn't for Lisa I would have forgotten to take a photo because I had my camera open and she asked if I wanted a photo. Unfortunately because I was so overwhelmed I forgot to get a photo with Christina.
I also learnt from Kath that the way my name is spelt (Ashleigh) is the girls American way which is why no one in the UK can spell it when they have to. Time seemed to go by so fast and soon they where leaving to get the car back. When we all said goodbye we gave goodbye hugs Christina gave me a hug so hard I though I was going to pop because I started crying when I told them I couldn't see them in concert.

The experience was incredible and the sisters had the best personality ever like I remembered from last year. Me and Emma now had an hour to wait for hour coach to take us back to London Victoria coach station. On the long journey back we spent tweeting and DM'ing the girls who where so happy to take to us.

Christina was distraught that I missed a photo opportunity and wanted to meet up in London to get one but we realised that we where an half hour drive from each other. She thanked me for the gift and said she couldn't wait to meet me again. Katherine DM'ed me telling me how much she loved meeting me and remembered my name! Dani also RT'ed the photo of me and her which made me squeal.

When getting back to London Victoria we set to find a Greggs for Emma because she was hungry but we couldn't find one so we settled for Subway to eat on the coach. We then left London at 3pm and I was so sad to leave because I loved London and meeting the girls. Emma left me in Birmingham at 5.15pm. I was so sad to say goodbye to Emma because we had so much fun and got on so well.

I finally got home at 10.20pm so I had spent 24 hours out and around 16 hours of them travelling, which made my bum really numb. Overall the day was incredible and I want to thank the girls sooo much for taking the time to speak to us and get to know us a lot! I cannot wait for them to come back to the UK!

Stay Strong <3
