Slowly Cimorelli are releasing music videos for all their songs on the Up At Night album. It started with Hearts On Fire which was posted onto YouTube before the album was released, this was to get fans excited and spreading the word about their new and upcoming album. Now I know this is almost three months late, but today I am going to be reviewing the second official music video released, which was I'm A Mess.
I think this was one of my favourite music videos by the band as it matches the lyrics of the song so well, also I really love the song. Now if you have all heard the song (which I am guessing most of you have) you will know that the song describes the crazy things a girl goes through when falling in love with a guy. With lyrics like:
'But by the way my heart is pounding'
'But I can't let you go'
It's very obvious to see the feelings that can be had for a boy, and of course feelings like that will make you go crazy and do stupid things.
The video shows the girls in normal every day situations such as cleaning, getting ready and doing work, but by the end of the video this has gone out the window and paper is being thrown all over the place and water has gone everywhere.
One of the main things that I like about this video is that at the end of the video when each girls scene comes to and end, they only just realise how crazy they are being when it stops. None of the girls have any idea of how extreme some of things they are doing. This portrays the perfect idea that sometimes love can make you act in strange ways that are not yourself, and you don't realise until it is all over because you where blinded by the love. The idea of the girls being portrayed in every day situations also means that this can happen to anyone in an every day situations and there is nothing that can be done about it. Love is an emotion that cannot be pushed towards the back of the mind and hidden because it will always be there.
By having such a large band say 'It's okay to go crazy over a boy sometimes' will definitely take some of the pressure off of teenagers, as a lot of them will be feeling a bit odd with these feelings and sometime their friends around them will treat them differently when they get feelings for a guy because of the way that they act. Overall I feel that the video had a great meaning and is definitely spreading a different message across teenagers and followers of the band. Cimorelli - Up At Night European Tour
Sunday 10th July 2016So, today I am going to be writing about Cimorelli's latest big announcement. Now if you don't know what that is then I am sure you have been living under a rock for the last few weeks! Well Cimorelli have finally announced that they are going back to Europe for an Up At Night Tour! Yes that is right a second European Tour and this time there are double the amount of dates added....
